Some recent pictures

I thought I would add some recent pictures. Maybe that would be the "family blog" thing to do. Of course with my inability to focus on one thing, this has digressed quite quickly.

This is Kennedy showing off her skills at taking things that are within her grasp. She's pretty fast. You have to watch her closely to make sure she doesn't get into things she isn't supposed to. As you can imagine, when I'm the only one around, there is a lot of stuff to put away, after I put her down for a nap.

Ana can be quite shocking at times, but here she is the one being shocked. Very shocked.
Really, she needs to learn to be more grounded.

Well, hope those were exciting.

A blank slate

Wouldn't that be nice - a blank slate, a start over, a redo, a mulligan?

However, what we do is recorded in the minds of those around us. They say they forgive you, but the reminder is always there (unless, like me, you are real forgetful).

And those of us who are christians: there is the book. I am not referring to the book of life, but the book of transgressions. All of your sins, big and small, recorded for a time when they will be read back to you.

Do you remember the time you pushed that kid down, or called her a nasty name? Do you remember the time you saw someone who was hurt and ignored them?

We can't redo, or start over. There is no blank slate. But have you ever heard of white out? Jesus died on the cross, and when we make Him our Lord and Savior, God just covers those over with the pure white of a sinless sacrifice, and then cross references us into the book of life.

Feeling a little down tonight with heavy thoughts. I will be back to my normal self soon, complete with some attitude adjustments. Humility is a hard lesson to learn.

Updates - Crazy stuff is going on

Okay,

Some actual family updates:

I was "discharged" from Grabill Bank. My staff didn't meet sales goals, and we'll leave it at that. You know, "Good company to work for, but it just wasn't a good job fit." (Don't burn any bridges, Bill. Don't do it.) I am going to search for part time work at a computer or networking company, and switch to full time at school. Again. This is like deja vu of how our marriage started. I may set a record for most credit hours in undergraduate schooling. At least I can now say what I want to be when I grow up.

Now I just have to grow up.

Ana had no cavities at the dentist today. This is a very big deal, considering how she started life, for those of you who know. She has had some other big changes, and it is amazing to see how she is maturing right before our eyes.

Kennedy pooped all up and down her front and back yesterday. I threw away her one-sey (is that how you spell it?) and then gave her a bath. She screamed the entire time, like a horror movie condensed to fifteen minutes of highlights.

Benadryl has an amazing affect on babies. When it was time for her afternoon nap she was laying on the floor face first, waiting to be taken up to her crib. That was a first.

Stacey, my wonderful, sweet, and loving wife, is taking on full time work at her job. Everybody call her and tell her what a wonderful wife she is and that I don't deserve her. Please, I need help, because I forgot to tell her and I need help. Did I mention that I need help with this?

Okay, anything else to mention? I hope that is all for a while. Time to tackle my C++ project. Uggh.

A minute discourse on the personal need for sleep

Sleeping like a baby:

Yes, that’s what I want to do right now - sleep like a baby. In other words, I want to sleep for ten hours straight, and then wake up screaming, "Feed me!"

However, have you watched a baby sleep? They drool, they drip snot, and they sleep in weird positions. They aren’t good at moving covers, nor are they good at getting up and going to the bathroom. My 13-month-old sleeps on her elbows, knees and face. We sometimes wonder how she even breathes.

So, sleeping like a baby is maybe not as good as it sounds.

We could say sleeping like a dog, I should be sleeping like a dog. Dogs sleep a lot. Of course, they also run in their sleep. My dog will kick and whimper while sleeping. Then she wakes up and licks herself. I don’t think I want to do that.

Sleep like a log. Logs don’t move, or breathe, or feel, or cry, or buy, or fry, or sigh, or get high, or get by, or…well, maybe not sleeping like a log - despite what the Beatles think.
Well, anyway, I need some sleep!

So, good night all.

New and Improved! Now with posting power that scientifically cleans your pores!

Okay. No real topic actually. Just thought the title sounded fun.

Wouldn't it be cool to get clean pores from a blog though? Like, what other fun things would it be fun for blogging to do for us? (I actually said, Like, you know. I typed it out. Wow)

Wouldn't it be fun to get a back massage from your favorite blog? Relaxing, informative and just plain fun. Perhaps if it could tone and strengthen muscles, or even improve our cardiovascular health, we would all be hanging out til the wee hours of the morning getting in shape and laughing too?

Hey what am I thinking? This is America. Reading a blog takes time and reading ability. What we need is a pill that will help us lose weight, improve our strength and skin tone, remove our pimples, cure the common cold and allergies, cause us to live one hundred years longer and attract cool chicks to us. Man, where can I get one of those?

I guess I would settle for a blog that brushed my teeth for me. Yeah that would be worth it.

Okay. Its official. I need to get out more. Way too random on this post
